Las Vegas Attraction ‘Escape Blair Witch’ Transports ‘Blair Witch’ Fans to Burkittsville, Maryland!
Lionsgate is dropping fans of The Blair Witch Project into the woods with a brand new experience, exclusive to Las Vegas.
Bloody Disgusting learned this morning that Lionsgate has teamed once again with Egan Escape Productions to unveil an immersive escape experience in the heart of Las Vegas, this time based on Lionsgate’s iconic Blair Witch feature film franchise.
Opening in early summer 2021, “Escape Blair Witch will bring the classic horror film franchise to life in its first ever official escape experience. The new attraction will be located in the same expansive facility that houses the fan favorite, The Official SAW Escape: Las Vegas, the world’s first immersive escape experience themed after the blockbuster SAW films, launched in 2018.
“As guests enter, they will immediately be transported to the lifelike small village of Burkittsville, Maryland to investigate mysterious happenings and disappearances within the community. Investigators will then need to work together to escape multiple rooms that bring the classic film and the curse of the Blair Witch to life. Trekking through the iconic Black Hills Forest will be just one of the memorable dramatic and terrifying elements that provides exciting twists, putting guests to the test.”

Killer Shorts Horror Writing Competition Open NOW With New Category for Feature Screenplays!
The annual genre competition dedicated to finding and launching the next generation of horror writing talent, this year’s Killer Shorts is now officially open for entries!
Founded in 2019, Killer Shorts has established itself as a premier industry launchpad. The competition connects screenwriters and prose authors directly with the executives, managers, and producers who actively greenlight and option dark genre cinema.
But this year’s competition isn’t only about killer horror shorts…
For this brand new season, Killer Shorts is expanding its categories to include feature-length screenplays alongside its traditional short script, one-page script, and short story divisions.
The Top 10 finalists across all categories are evaluated by an elite industry jury composed of over a dozen horror legends, literary managers, and producers. The panel includes:
