EXCLUSIVE: Cavity Colors Bringing Special Michael Myers T-Shirts to “Halloween: 45 Years of Terror” Event

The Halloween: 45 Years of Terror event is slashing its way into Pasadena, California from September 29 through October 1, 2023, and all kinds of different companies are bringing all kinds of exclusive products to the event. Our friends over at Cavity Colors whipped up two brand new Michael Myers t-shirts for the show, and they’ll ONLY be available at H45.

Featuring art by Devon Whitehead and Anthony Petrie, the two Halloween: 45 Years of Terror Exclusive t-shirts from Cavity Colors can be previewed with hi-res imagery below.

The first t-shirt spotlights Michael Myers is all his glory, brandishing his killing knife and surrounded by atmospheric Fall imagery, while the second shirt features Myers looming over the various other characters from the original classic – Laurie, Annie, Lynda and Loomis.

Every five years since 2003, fans from the Halloween franchise have traveled across the globe to celebrate one of the most endearing, imposing, and enduring horror movie franchises of all time. John Carpenter’s Halloween premiered in cinemas and on drive-in screens 45 years ago, changing the landscape of horror cinema forever.For this special anniversary convention event, the Producer of the Halloween Franchise, Trancas International Films, is once again teaming up with Sean Clark (who helped organize the Halloween conventions with the 25th anniversary in 2003, as well as the 30th (2008), 35th (2013), and 40th (2018).HorrorHound Ltd. also returns after having helped put on the successful H40 event in 2018. HorrorHound Ltd. are responsible for the Midwest events, HorrorHound Weekend, which aim to deliver what is sure to be the largest Halloween convention to date.

Celebrity guests (including directors, stars, and crew) from all thirteen Halloween films are set to be in attendance as H45 takes over the Pasadena Convention Center.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers 4K UHD from Kino Lorber

The original Invasion of the Body Snatchers will invade 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on June 25 via Kino Lorber. The 1956 sci-fi horror classic has been newly restored in 4K in two aspect ratios 2.00:1 and 1.85:1 with Dolby Vision.

Don Siegel (Dirty Harry, Escape from Alcatraz) directs from a script by Daniel Mainwaring (Out of the Past), based on the Jack Finney novel The Body Snatchers. Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter star with Larry Gates, King Donovan, Carolyn Jones, Jean Willes, and Ralph Dumke.

Special features include: new commentary by film historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel Thompson; new commentary by film scholar Jason A. Ney; commentary by McCarthy and Wynter, moderated by Joe Dante; commentary by film historian Richard Harland Smith; an appreciation with Dante and Larry Cohen; a visual essay with Siegel’s son, Kristoffer Tabori; and more.


The Exorcist III Vinyl Soundtrack from Waxwork Records

It’s a wonderful life, because The Exorcist III‘s soundtrack is coming to vinyl from Waxwork Records. Priced at $40, it’s expected to ship on May 27.

Sourced from the original masters, the score is composed by Barry De Vorzon (The Warriors, Night of the Creeps). It’s pressed on 150-gram neon pink and purple smoke colored vinyl.

The album is housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring artwork by Suspiria Vilchez and a 12×12 booklet with liner notes by De Vorzon.


Rob Zombie Figure from McFarlane Toys

McFarlane Toys recently launched a Music Maniacs line with Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper. Rob Zombie will be the latest rocker to join in July.

Priced at $24.99, the 6″ scale figure is ready to dig through the ditches and burn through the witches with an appearance based on 1998’s “Dragula” music video.

It features 12 points of articulation and comes with a microphone and mic stand figure base, along with a numbered certificate of authenticity out of 6,200.


Toxic Crusader Pillow Buddy from Brain Candy

Snuggle with Toxie without the concern of radioactivity thanks to Brain Candy’s Toxic Crusaders pillow buddy.

Limited to 50, the plush doll stands 22″ tall and features front and back designs. It costs $45 and is expected to ship in six weeks.


Sting Blu-ray from Well Go USA

Currently available on VOD, Sting will crawl onto Blu-ray on July 30 via Well Go USA. The creature feature boasts practical spider effects by WETA Workshop (The Lord of the Rings, Krampus).

In Meagan Navarro’s review, she says “Sting is at its strongest when it focuses on the horror. The steady build-up to its showstopper finale offers tense spider horror moments as Sting slinks around air ducts or darkened corners and delivers more than one gnarly death.”

Kiah Roache-Turner (Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead) writes and directs. Alyla Browne, Penelope Mitchell, Ryan Corr, and Jermaine Fowler star.

Three featurettes are included: Creating the Monster, The Director, and The Cast.
