Burger King Celebrates Halloween With Ghost Pepper Whopper and Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries

Published

on

McDonald’s may be the fast food chain most synonymous with Halloween over the years, but Burger King has managed to make their own mark on the holiday in recent years.

From the “Nightmare King” to the “Halloween Whopper,” Burger King’s Halloween offerings have impressed in the last several years, and this year will be no exception.

This Halloween, Burger King brings back last year’s “Ghost Pepper Whopper,” and they’re also debuting a brand new Halloween menu item: “Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries”!

The “Ghost Pepper Whopper” features a burger topped with Ghost Pepper cheese, and it’s packed with bacon, crispy jalapeños, queso sauce, and an orange bun.

As for the “Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries,” they’ll be available in 4, 8, and 12 pieces with a choice of dipping sauce, bringing Halloween heat to the popular Chicken Fries.

Burger King is also making it easy for Guests to conquer that pesky araskavedekatriaphobia (fear of Friday the 13th) with the Digital Exclusive Trick or Heat Meal Bundles. Available beginning Friday, Oct. 13 through Halloween Day in the BK App and on bk.com, Royal Perks members can enjoy a Ghost Pepper Whopper, 4-piece Ghost Pepper Chicken Fry, small French fries, small fountain beverage and Hershey Sundae Pie for just $13. Can’t handle the heat? Fear not – the deal will also be available with an original Whopper and Chicken Fries.

“Earlier this year, we asked Guests if we should bring back the Ghost Pepper Whopper or introduce Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries. The results were split, so we’re adding both products to our menus nationwide this Halloween season, giving Guests multiple ways to enjoy the perfect combination of flavor and heat,” said Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King. “We’re excited for fans to have a new way to enjoy our signature Chicken Fries and bring back the Ghost Pepper Whopper with an eye-catching orange bun achieved with the use of paprika, showing that spook-tacular innovations don’t mean you have to sacrifice quality or flavor.”

Both menu items will be available from October 12 through Halloween, and brand new ghost pepper-themed Burger King crowns will also be available in stores nationwide.

Additionally, Burger King is also bringing Halloween buckets to select markets on Friday, October 13, and they’ll reportedly be available in Nashville, Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Atlanta.
