If you ever find yourself in central Massachusetts, stop by JR’s Spooky Shack for all your horror needs. That’s what horror punk favorites Blitzkid do.

The independent horror collectibles and accessories shop hosted Blitzkid singer/bassist Argyle Goolsby for his first-ever solo acoustic performance on February 19.

Like a spine-chilling take on MTV Unplugged, Goolsby regaled the intimate crowd with stories from his career in between a mix of solo songs, Blitzkid classics, and a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Words of Love.”

Watch an exclusive video of Goolsby’s closing number, a haunting rendition of Blitzkid’s “Slaughter at the Sock Hop,” below.

“I had a blast,” Goolsby beamed about the experience. He hopes to play at JR’s Spooky Shack again in the future. In the interim, Blitzkid will be touring intermittently throughout the year, including a stint in California this summer and an East Coast run in October.

“Being able to turn a lifelong dream into something physical and tangible has been incredible,” proprietor Jesse “JR” Hikel tells Bloody Disgusting. “This was the first event like this I’ve hosted here, and based on the overwhelming response and success, there will be many more.”

JR’s Spooky Shack is located at 104 Forest Avenue in Hudson, MA. Its inventory is also available online.

Daryl Dixon’s Dog from “The Walking Dead” Has Passed Away

The real-life canine who portrayed Daryl Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) pet “Dog” on “The Walking Dead,” a Belgian Shepherd whose real name was Seven, has sadly passed away this week.

Variety notes that Seven “appeared in 26 episodes, including the series finale.”

Norman Reedus has shared a handful of behind the scenes photos to his Instagram (@bigbaldhead), paying tribute to the canine companion that he calls the “best TV buddy ever.”

Seven’s stint on “The Walking Dead” began in Season 9, originally the pet of the character Leah Shaw. In the wake of the character’s disappearance, Daryl adopts the dog as his own.

It was Reedus who reportedly pushed for his character to have a canine pal on the show.

You were a very good boy, Seven. May you rest in peace.
