Published

on

While you wait for Bloody Disgusting’s The Toxic Avenger reboot to hit theaters unrated on August 29, Gutter Garbs has released apparel for Troma’s original Toxic Avenger as well as “Toxic Crusaders.”

With classic artwork and new designs from Sam Coyne, Mister Black, Brandon Stecz, and Matthew Skiff, The Toxic Avenger collection includes four shirts, while the “Toxic Crusaders” line has six shirts.

There are also nine “Crusaders” enamel pins designed by Skiff: Toxie, Dr. Killemoff, Headbanger, Major Disaster, Nozone, Radiation Ranger, Junkyard, Bonehead, and Psycho.

Printed to order, tees cost $35 and will ship in 2-3 weeks. Enamel pins are $13 each and are in stock.

In 1984‘s The Toxic Avenger, a hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength is born when meek mop boy Melvin falls into a vat of toxic waste, leaving evildoers with a lot to lose.

The low-budget gorefest was cleaned up for “Toxic Crusaders,” an environmentally-conscious superhero cartoon that ran for one season in 1991.

In Macon Blair‘s fresh take on The Toxic Avenger, downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, transforming him into a mutant vigilante who targets ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces.

Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) stars with Kevin Bacon (Friday the 13th), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Jacob Tremblay (Doctor Sleep), Julia Davis (Phantom Thread), and Taylour Paige (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F).
