Bloody Disgusting just received a special package from Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights, and contained within is the very first teaser for Halloween Horror Nights 35

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights celebrates 35 years of fear, screams, and nightmares later in 2026, and the official reveals will begin this Saturday, March 21, 2026!

“Stay tuned to @HorrorNightsOrl as a legacy of nightmares begins to unveil on March 21, 2026,” reads a faux ticket included in Universal Orlando’s package sent to our offices.

What do we know about Halloween Horror Nights 35?

We don’t know anything about Halloween Horror Nights 35 at this time, but we expect Universal Orlando will be going all out in celebration of the event’s landmark 35th anniversary.

Wikipedia states, “According to Lora Sauls, they began building the 35th anniversary of the event in April 2025 and all five original haunted houses for the event had been approved.”

What are the dates for Halloween Horror Nights 35?

Halloween Horror Nights 35 will run from August 28th to November 1st, 2026.

Last year’s licensed houses in Orlando included Fallout, Jason Universe, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Terrifier, while original haunted houses included Gálkn: Monsters of the North, Grave of Flesh, Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, and El Artista: A Spanish Haunting.

Killer Shorts Horror Writing Competition Open NOW With New Category for Feature Screenplays!

The annual genre competition dedicated to finding and launching the next generation of horror writing talent, this year’s Killer Shorts is now officially open for entries!

Founded in 2019, Killer Shorts has established itself as a premier industry launchpad. The competition connects screenwriters and prose authors directly with the executives, managers, and producers who actively greenlight and option dark genre cinema.

But this year’s competition isn’t only about killer horror shorts…

For this brand new season, Killer Shorts is expanding its categories to include feature-length screenplays alongside its traditional short script, one-page script, and short story divisions.

The Top 10 finalists across all categories are evaluated by an elite industry jury composed of over a dozen horror legends, literary managers, and producers. The panel includes:

  • Barbara Crampton (Horror Icon, Actress & Producer — Jakob’s Wife, Suitable Flesh)
  • John Zaozirny (Literary Manager & Producer, Bellevue Productions)
  • Tananarive Due (Author, Producer & Horror Historian)
