“Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie unlocks a new fear — literally — in Verizon’s Look Behind You campaign.
Directed by Nia DaCosta (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Candyman), the four-and-a-half-minute ad channels ’90s slashers like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Set in a secluded cabin in the woods, Storrie experiences “service so good, it’s scary” with a series of butt-dials. With the best network, there is no escape.
“From the concept to execution, this was an incredibly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience,” said Storrie. “Verizon is a brand that really understands storytelling and culture, so they fully leaned into the idea. And working with visionary director Nia DaCosta took everything to another level.”
“I had such a great time working with Connor and making this spot for Verizon,” commented DaCosta. “The team was amazing and we had so much fun bringing this to life.”
“The collaboration and creative process was pure magic,” added Verizon EVP and CMO Leslie Berland. “We set out to bring Verizon’s network to life in a way that’s bold and unexpected, and we’re thrilled with the result. Nia is an absolute artist, and Connor is simply a phenomenon.”
