Halloween icon Sam is back in a big way this month, with creator Michael Dougherty bringing the character back to life with brand new multimedia project Sam: The Soul of Halloween.
Just in time for spooky season, new original Sam content is being released across Sam’s new website and social channels, including animated shorts, illustrations, artist collaborations, merchandise and other bite-sized glimpses into Sam’s peculiar corner of Halloween.
Dougherty invited a growing roster of talented artists to interpret Sam through their own creative voices. As a result, Sam will wander through wildly different styles, mediums and imaginations.
With 24 days to go until Halloween, Dougherty has released Killing Time with Sam this morning, a new animated short that sees Sam impatiently waiting for his big day to arrive.
Killing Time with Sam was directed by Michael Dougherty himself, with Breehn Burns serving as the animation director. Burns also handled the animation alongside Ye Aung.
Watch the new short below, along with two other Sam shorts already released this Halloween!
