Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show has been a staple of the park since 1990, and while it’s temporarily closed for renovations, the stage show is coming back with new life.
Universal Orlando has announced that the show will return as the Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse. The park previews, “In this live show, discover how Hollywood’s top special effects artists have terrified moviegoers for over 100 years — from Universal’s classic monsters to the modern horrors of Blumhouse. Details coming soon.”
No word yet on when the doors are opening back up. Stay tuned.
It was back in May that the Universal Horror Make-Up Show was temporarily closed, but Universal’s official website notes that the newly-enhanced stage show “will reopen later this year.”
In this outrageous live show you’ll watch how top make-up and special effects artists craft some of the creepy characters you’ve seen on the big screen. Featuring movie clips, props, and interactive demonstrations, this experience offers fascinatingly funny insight into the moviemaking process.
