Artist Lee Howard is the mad genius behind Quiet Room Bears, which he describes as “one of a kind, individually numbered horror art bears.” Since 2001, Howard has been turning teddy bears in gruesome monstrosities, and his latest creation is plucked directly from the mind of Stephen King.
In celebration of the upcoming film, and yesterday’s brand new trailer, Howard has just added Pennywise to the Quiet Room Bears collection. The bear is based on Tim Curry’s depiction of the child-killing clown, and Howard unveiled it in a series of photos he took at the very spot where they filmed the Neibolt Street scenes for this year’s IT!
“This bear is BIG! It is about 20″ while sitting! It is also quite heavy,” Howard told us. “It features half of a clown face, hand-stitched on wig, pant legs and sleeves, and inside its chest cavity is a paper boat near a sewer hole, with a red balloon sitting near!”
And yes, you can own the Pennywise bear if you desire! Howard has put his latest Quiet Room Bear up for grabs over on eBay, where it’s currently up to $260 with 6 days left.
