NECA’s First “American Gods” Figure is Toy Fair’s Bloodiest Offering This Year
One of the most memorable images from the first season of Starz’s “American Gods” was that of the undead Laura Moon walking down the street, covered in blood and holding her own severed arm in her other hand. Surprisingly, we’re getting a toy!
At Toy Fair today, NECA showed off the first figure in their “American Gods” line, which just so happens to be of the blood-covered, severed arm-holding Laura Moon.
The not-okay-for-children toy is due out Quarter 4, 2018.

The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Hitting theaters June 5, 2026, Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”

A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
