Mattel Gets In On the Ian Malcolm Craze With New ‘Jurassic Park’ Figures

Over the weekend, Mattel shared a first look at 6″ scale Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Owen and Blue figures, while they quietly updated their Comic-Con display to reveal a trip back to Jurassic Park with an Ian Malcolm 6″ scale figure! Unfortunately, there’s no way to bend Jeff Goldblum into the “sexy” pose that’s become one of the internet’s best memes. Hopefully, that’s the next evolution if this sells well for Mattel. On Friday, April 26th at 9am PT, Mattel Creations, Mattel’s e-commerce and content platform for creators, collaborations, and innovators, will be releasing the newest Monster High Skullector doll, Creature From the Black Lagoon!

In partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, Monster High is reimagining the iconic creature who lies in the mysterious depths of the Amazon just in time for the 70th anniversary of the classic film. The prehistoric amphibious humanoid dazzles in Monster High fashion with glimmering green gills, shimmering scales, and killer harpoon heels.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon Monster High doll features…

  • 10.5 inches tall with 11 points of articulation
  • New face sculpt (made specifically for this doll) on original scaly body with fin and gill details
  • Wears a scaly swimsuit with pearlescent amphibious body armor
  • Accessorized with anchor-accented fin headpiece and webbed harpoon heel boots
  • Includes custom lagoon-inspired doll stand and premium packaging
