One of my personal favorite toy lines of all time is the Boglins, monstrous rubber hand puppets that first hit store shelves back in 1987. Created by Tim Clarke and Maureen Trotto, the rubbery bog creatures were released by Mattel, and the icing on the cake is that they came housed inside of boxes made to look like containment cages. They even released Halloween Boglins!
Over the years, Clarke has been keeping the Boglins alive in various different ways, and this week he has just unleashed a brand new Halloween Boglin: Vlogg, the Vampire Bat!
Now up for grabs in Clarke’s shop for $75, Vlogg is described as being “the most feared of all Boglins,” and he sure seems to be based on the line of planned “Nite Creatures” Boglins that never ended up being produced back in the day. For fans of the line, he’s a long time coming.
