One of the coolest ’80s brands that’s still around today is the Garbage Pail Kids, and Topps is celebrating Halloween this year with a new all-horror series, “Oh, The Horror-ible!”.
On store shelves now (I found 24-card packs at Target tonight), the series is loaded with horror movie-inspired sticker cards, and there are some pretty surprising deep cuts in the mix. As you can see above, I found a card based on Peter Jackson’s Bad Taste in one of the packs I got, along with The Hills Have Eyes and Plan 9 From Outer Space cards!
Of course, beloved icons like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Pennywise and Carrie White are in the mix, with each horror movie getting an “A” card and “B” card, with different names.
Special, randomly inserted cards include sketch cards, autograph cards, “Puke” cards, “Bruised” cards, “Spit” cards, “Bloody Nose” cards and “Fool’s Gold” cards. Exclusively in Hobby Collector Boxes, you’ll even find Wacky Packages-style cards that parody horror movie posters.
Be sure to grab these while you can, as they’re only around for the Halloween season!
