You Can Now Own a Real Working Replica of Snake’s ‘Escape from New York’ Watch, Up for Pre-Order!
You may recall, back in 2016, that the Ridgewood Watch Company made headlines with their Kickstarter campaign for the “Lifeclock One,” a fully operational replica of the countdown watch that Kurt Russell wears as Snake Plissken in John Carpenter’s Escape from New York. Back then, the campaign fell short of its goal, but two years later, the watch is now reality!
Now up for pre-order through Sideshow Collectibles, the Lifeclock One smartwatch from Ridgewood is selling for $399, and it has been designed not just to match the Escape from New York prop as closely as possible, but with added functionality, comfort, durability, and styling so that it can actually be worn and, well, used as a watch, rather than merely displayed.
Sideshow details, “The Lifeclock one features a countdown, 22:59’:59” (Hartford Summit configuration only), standard and military time options, the ability to program up to 8 world clocks, display the date in 1 of 5 formats, stopwatch, 18 display animations and 8 character animations. With the app you can access the smartphone camera shutter release, push notifications of incoming and missed calls, voicemails, SMS & iMessage, app notifications (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more to come). The activity monitor tracks steps independent of your smartphone. A customizable daily alarm is also included.”

After last week’s tease, Mattel has now fully revealed their Ghostbusters Monster High doll based on the villain known as Gozer, and it goes up for grabs starting today (June 8).
Pre-orders for the Gozer Monster High doll will begin for Fang Club Members only at 12pm ET on Monday, June 8, 2026, with the dolls shipping on or before August 21.
