[Toy Fair] Official ‘Jaws’ Board Game Takes a Unique Two Act Approach to Recreate the Film
All these years later, Jaws still endures as one of the all-time great horror movies, and Toy Fair (which doesn’t even actually kick off until tomorrow) has been pretty Jaws-heavy this year with Funko’s reveal of an entire upcoming wave of vinyl toys based on the 1975 classic. Announced by Gizmodo tonight, an official Jaws board game is also swimming our way!
As the site explains, the game is split up into two acts; when the shark has been located, Act 1 is complete, and you then flip over the game board to begin the hunt in Act 2.
And yes, one player controls the shark!
In Act 1: Amity Island, the shark prowls secretly through the waters around the island attacking swimmers and avoiding capture. Meanwhile the other players try to pinpoint the shark’s location while also saving the tourists.
Then in Act 2: The Orca, experience the climactic battle aboard the slowly sinking Orca. Brody, Hooper and Quint are well-armed… but they don’t know where the great white will strike next!
The 2-4 player game will be released by Ravensburger in June 2019, selling for $30.

‘Scary Movie’ Official Popcorn Bucket Is Shaped Like a Retro ’90s Telephone
The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.
Call Shorty now at: (855) WAZ-ZZUP
Hitting theaters June 5, 2026, Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”
Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite for the new Scary Movie, with the cast also including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Jon Abrahams, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe…
Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs Scary Movie 6 from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
