[Toy Fair] McFarlane Previews Upcoming ‘Doom’ and ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ Action Figures

Teased earlier this week, McFarlane Toys has indeed picked up the license to make Mortal Kombat action figures, and we’ve got your first look out of Toy Fair this weekend.

On display at the event is a mock-up preview of the Scorpion action figure that’ll be part of the MK 11 line, and the company also previewed Sub Zero as well. Both are 7 inches.

McFarlane will also be releasing a 7″ figure of Doom‘s Doom Slayer!

‘Scary Movie’ Official Popcorn Bucket Is Shaped Like a Retro ’90s Telephone

The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.

The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.

The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.

A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Hitting theaters June 5, 2026, Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”

Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t.
