Mezco Previews Upcoming ‘Curse of La Llorona’ Mega Scale Figure!
The Conjuring Universe gives birth to yet another new horror villain in The Curse of La Llorona, which launched in theaters just last night. Not skipping a beat, Mezco has already previewed their upcoming La Llorona figure!
Later this year, the titular entity joins Mezco’s MDS Mega Scale line, with the prototype being shown off today. They note that the figure “talks,” which would seem to suggest that she can scream like the murderous momma does in the movie.
Of course, she’s also wearing her favorite white dress, with eerie yellow eyes and black tears streaming down her cheeks.
Pre-orders begin 4/22, and she’ll arrive October-December 2019.
The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.
