Hasbro Previews This Summer’s New Classic ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Toys

With the impending release of Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, this year promises to be a HUGE year for the Ghostbusters franchise, and you can rest assured that we’ll be getting tons of new toys and merchandise on the road to this summer’s sequel.

First up, Hasbro has previewed their 2020 Ghostbusters offerings ahead of Toy Fair today, which include toys based on the original classic as well as the brand new sequel.

Upcoming toys include the Ecto-1 from Afterlife, along with proton blasters, proton packs, PKE meters and ghost whistles that are all based on the props from the new movie.

We’re also getting 12″ scale action figures of the classic Ghostbusters, along with 5″ scale “Fright Features” figures that each come with ghosts that have spooky action features.

The second wave of the “Fright Features” line will include characters from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but we haven’t yet been provided with images of those particular figures.

Hasbro will also be releasing “Paranormal Plushies” and “Ghost Gushers” toys, the latter of which will feature mini-figures that are housed inside of squishy ghost characters.

Limited Edition ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ Monster High Doll Releasing This Week!

In partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, Monster High is reimagining the iconic creature who lies in the mysterious depths of the Amazon just in time for the 70th anniversary of the classic film. The prehistoric amphibious humanoid dazzles in Monster High fashion with glimmering green gills, shimmering scales, and killer harpoon heels.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon Monster High doll features…

  • 10.5 inches tall with 11 points of articulation
  • New face sculpt (made specifically for this doll) on original scaly body with fin and gill details
  • Wears a scaly swimsuit with pearlescent amphibious body armor
  • Accessorized with anchor-accented fin headpiece and webbed harpoon heel boots
  • Includes custom lagoon-inspired doll stand and premium packaging

On sale to the public beginning April 26, the limited edition doll will be selling for $65. These Monster High “Skullector” dolls never last long, so be sure to act fast this coming Friday!
