The last several years, Japanese company Kotobukiya has brought a handful of iconic horror characters into their line of “Bishoujo” (which translates to “beautiful girl”) statues.
They’ve been turning male horror icons into female characters, and the line has thus far included Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Pinhead and Ash Williams.
Shown off at Toy Fair this weekend, Leatherface is getting the “Bishoujo” treatment next, with two different statues set for release in 2021. They’re both based on the original classic.
Additionally, a female Pennywise statue is coming later this year.
