Fifth Series of NECA’s “Toony Terrors” Toys Includes Ghostface and the Creep from “Creepshow”
Today’s San Diego Comic-Con reveals from NECA are all about upcoming horror toys, and the company is kicking off the day by previewing Series 5 of their “Toony Terrors” line.
The line thus far includes everyone from Jason to Freddy, Ash to Victor Crowley, and Trick ‘r Treat‘s Sam to Nosferatu, and Series 5 will bring more horror icons into the mix.
The fifth wave includes The Creep from Shudder’s “Creepshow” and Ghostface from Scream, and you can check out sneak-preview images of both of the toys down below.
*UPDATE*: Series 5 also includes “bloody” Ash and Michael Myers variants!
Series 5 is scheduled for release this December.
The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
