This year’s “Ghostbusters Day” is today, June 8th, 2021, and the celebration will be highlighted by a Ghostbusters: Afterlife chat that’s taking place at 5pm EST. Hosted by IGN, the chat will be airing live through Twitter Spaces, with Jason Reitman, Ivan Reitman, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim all expected to take part.

In the meantime, new Ghostbusters products have been released as part of “Ghostbusters Day” today, including an “ecto-plasmified” set of toys from Hasbro. These variant figures from Hasbro’s “Plasma Series” are based on the original classic, and they feature glow-in-the-dark elements. They’ll be going up for pre-order at 2:30pm PST on Hasbro Pulse.

Additionally, a new line of t-shirts are being offered up through the official Ghostbusters store, with the exclusive “Ghostbusters Day” designs available only through the month of June.

All four shirts prominently feature the “Mini-Pufts” from the upcoming sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife, created by Vochelle Yum, John Yurcaba, Stuart Reeves, and Brendan Pearce.

NECA Opens Official Image Gallery for ‘Savini Jason’ Action Figure from ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’

NECA had announced at Toy Fair that they’re releasing brand new Jason Voorhees action figures based on Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell, along with the Tom Savini-designed hellish Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th: The Game. The latter action figure has received an official image gallery from NECA today, showing it off in all its glory.

The Ultimate Savini Jason 7” Scale Action Figure will be released in Summer 2026.

NECA previews, “From Friday the 13th: The Game comes a new look for Jason Voorhees, designed by the legendary Tom Savini! This version imagines the character as if he fought Lucifer, took his infernal Trident, and climbed out of Hell to haunt Camp Crystal Lake!

“Featuring fiery skin and a demonic look, this fully articulated 7-inch scale action figure features interchangeable heads, including one with light piping for a glowing effect in the eyes. It also includes interchangeable hands, Devil’s Pitchfork, mask, and smoke effect accessory.”

Makeup effects legend Tom Savini of course designed the original Jason, seen in Friday the 13th (1980), as well as The Final Chapter‘s Jason, and “Savini Jason” was his interpretation of what might have happened to Jason after the epic finale of Jason Goes to Hell.
