NECA Confirms Matt Hooper ‘Jaws’ Action Figure With First Look at Head Sculpt [Image]
When NECA originally announced that they had acquired the Jaws license, they had been teasing figures of Quint and Brody, but unfortunately, the Brody figure was canceled due to a licensing conflict. As for the Quint figure, those are currently available as of this year. But what about Matt Hooper, played by Richard Dreyfuss in Steven Spielberg’s horror masterpiece?
NECA initially took to social media to give us our first tease of what appeared to be a Hooper figure, as we see accessories including a blue hat that look to belong to the character.
As part of their San Diego Comic-Con reveals, the toy company confirmed the Matt Hooper figure with our first look at head sculpts, including the accessory of multiple hats. The sculpt itself looks incredible, albeit we need an alternate version of Hooper making funny faces in frustration.
Last we heard, a massive figure of the killer shark is also on the way.

‘Scary Movie’ Official Popcorn Bucket Is Shaped Like a Retro ’90s Telephone
The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.
Call Shorty now at: (855) WAZ-ZZUP
Hitting theaters June 5, 2026, Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”
Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite for the new Scary Movie, with the cast also including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Jon Abrahams, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe…
Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs Scary Movie 6 from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
