Way back in 2012, Funko released Mars Attacks Pop! figures from Topps’ classic trading card series. Now Tim Burton‘s 1996 film based on the trading cards is invading the ever-growing toy line.
The assortment includes Martian Ambassador, Martian Spy Girl, Martian Soldier with Ray Gun, and a Specialty Series exclusive Martian Solider with a glow-in-the-dark chase variant.
Due out in February, the Mars Attacks vinyl figures are available to pre-order for $11.99 each.
Burton initially intended to use stop motion to bring the film’s aliens to life, but he was persuaded to have Industrial Light & Magic create them with computer animation in order to decrease the budget.
