‘Gremlins’ Joins Fisher-Price’s Little People Collector Line
If you thought Bride of Chucky was an unexpected addition to Fisher-Price’s Little People Collector line, get a load of their Gremlins set.
The four-pack includes the Mogwai darling Gizmo and his Gremlin offspring Stripe, Popcorn Ears, and The Flasher. Yes, out of all the possible Gremlins, they chose to include the lewdest one.
Each mischievous creature stands over 2.5″ tall. Packaged in a window box based on the 1984 film’s memorable movie theater scene, the set costs $24.99.
Fisher-Price’s answer to the Funko Pop! phenomenon, the Little People Collector line recreates all manner of pop culture characters in the signature Little People style.
The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.
