Monster High Brews Up Bewitching New Moonspell Magic Doll Line
Mattel has announced Moonspell Magic by Monster High, an extension of the Monster High universe that introduces five bewitching characters in a fresh yet familiar supernatural world where monsters and witches coexist.
Encouraging fans to embrace their own magic while discovering the power of friendship, the line includes:
- Willow Thorne — Nature Witch
- Carina Song — Love Witch
- Claire de Luna — Clairvoyant Witch
- Layla Stone — Crystal Witch
- Rae Lumina — Sun Witch
Each witch channels spellbinding style with shimmering accents, layered fabrics, statement belts, and a witch hat, and comes with enchanting accessories like handbags, spellbooks, and potion bottles. Also included is a magical cauldron containing an amulet necklace.
Inclusive design details are thoughtfully integrated into the dolls and packaging, with the help of partner organizations such as the American Foundation for the Blind and Hearing Milestones.
“We were so inspired by the care and intention behind the Moonspell Magic by Monster High collection, and excited to have the opportunity to consult on Claire de Luna’s character,” said Tony Stephens, AVP of Communications, The American Foundation for the Blind. “It’s a meaningful example of how to foster acceptance through storytelling that feels authentic and empowering.”
“When children see characters who reflect their own experiences, it supports confidence and a sense of belonging,” added Dr. Jenny Richardson of Hearing Milestones. “Working on this new line with Monster High was an opportunity to show that a character goes beyond any single trait—and that every child’s experience is valid, meaningful, and worthy of representing.”
Moonspell Magic by Monster High dolls will debut at this weekend’s New York Toy Fair before hitting retailers nationwide in July.
First introduced in 2010, Monster High quickly became a hit for Mattel and ushered in an expansive universe that includes a live-action TV movie, a CGI-animated series, a 2D-animated web series, video games, young adult novels, and more.
Universal is developing a live-action Monster High film from M3GAN director Gerard Johnstone.

NECA Opens Official Image Gallery for ‘Savini Jason’ Action Figure from ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’
NECA had announced at Toy Fair that they’re releasing brand new Jason Voorhees action figures based on Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell, along with the Tom Savini-designed hellish Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th: The Game. The latter action figure has received an official image gallery from NECA today, showing it off in all its glory.
The Ultimate Savini Jason 7” Scale Action Figure will be released in Summer 2026.
NECA previews, “From Friday the 13th: The Game comes a new look for Jason Voorhees, designed by the legendary Tom Savini! This version imagines the character as if he fought Lucifer, took his infernal Trident, and climbed out of Hell to haunt Camp Crystal Lake!
“Featuring fiery skin and a demonic look, this fully articulated 7-inch scale action figure features interchangeable heads, including one with light piping for a glowing effect in the eyes. It also includes interchangeable hands, Devil’s Pitchfork, mask, and smoke effect accessory.”
Makeup effects legend Tom Savini of course designed the original Jason, seen in Friday the 13th (1980), as well as The Final Chapter‘s Jason, and “Savini Jason” was his interpretation of what might have happened to Jason after the epic finale of Jason Goes to Hell.
