We already posted a fun easter egg hunt for Netflix’s “Stranger Things” but people keep finding all sorts of new homages and references to classic sci-fi and horror films of the past.
Take, for example, Ulysse Thevenon, who created a video that put clips from “Stranger Things” next to 70’s and 80’s films like Poltergeist, Alien, Firestarter, and much more. The similarities are very striking at some points and in others I’d say it’s either a reach or it’s simply that certain shots are always going to look similar, no matter what you do.
Still, with a series that openly wears its influences on its sleeve, it’s great to see something like this that makes you go, “Oh yeah! That IS just like that!”
