Remember “Tiny Toons Adventures” and Its Halloween Special Episode? [Halloween Treat]

The Looney Tunes spin-off series “Tiny Toons Adventures” was something my sister watched damn near religiously. I don’t know what it was about that series as it didn’t do too much for me but she thought it was the funniest thing at the time. To this day, she still pulls out quotes from the show, which would boggle my mind but I can remember quotes from random movies and shows from that era as well, so I guess I can’t speak.

One episode that DID appeal to was when the show did a one-hour Halloween special that was aptly titled “Night Ghoulery”. It was packed with homages and references to a ton of horror titles and properties, such as Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”, George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, and even the opening sequence, which you can watch below, referenced Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a cheeky and playful way for parents to share in their love of horror with their children, who might not have been old enough to read or watch the original material.
