“Channel Zero” Season 2 Wraps Production: Here’s the Creepypasta It’s Based On

Prepare to enter… The No-End House.

We’re just one day away from the season finale of “Channel Zero: Candle Cove,” which airs on Syfy this Tuesday night, November 15th. The season, based on the same-named Creepypasta, has proven to be one of the best things Syfy has ever originally produced, and the good news here is the second season is already in the can and will soon be ready for consumption.

As producer Don Mancini (@RealDonMancini) just revealed on Twitter, Season 2 of “Channel Zero” wrapped production on November 11th. It’s set to premiere sometime in 2017.

Like the first season, the second will also be directly inspired by a Creepypasta story. “Channel Zero: The No-End House” is based on a Creepypasta penned by Brian Russell, and Amy Forsyth will star as Margot Sleator, a young woman who visits a bizarre house of horrors that consists of a series of increasingly disturbing rooms. When she returns home, Margot realizes everything has changed. John Carroll Lynch will co-star. Steven Piet directed all six episodes.

The original short story, which you can listen to a creepy reading of below, centered on a man who was told by a friend about the titular No-End House: a creepy house located outside the city with nine, increasingly terrifying rooms in it. His friend tells him that if you can make it to the final exit, you win $500. Oh and by the way. Nobody has EVER made it to the final exit.

Here’s a sneak preview, from the portion on the hellish Room 6…

There was a little girl. She was wearing a soft, white dress that went down to her ankles. She had long blonde hair to the middle of her back and white skin and blue eyes. She was the most frightening thing I had ever seen, and I know that nothing in my life will ever be as unnerving as what I saw in her. While looking at her, I saw something else. Where she stood I saw what looked like a man’s body, only larger than normal and covered in hair. He was naked from head to toe, but his head was not human and his toes were hooves. It wasn’t the Devil, but at that moment it might as well have been. The form had the head of a ram and the snout of a wolf.

It was horrifying and it was synonymous with the little girl in front of me. They were the same form. I can’t really describe it, but I saw them at the same time. They shared the same spot in that room, but it was like looking at two separate dimensions. When I saw the girl I saw the form, and when I saw the form I saw the girl. I couldn’t speak. I could barely even see. My mind was revolting against what it was attempting to process. I had been scared before in my life and I had never been more scared than when I was trapped in the fourth room, but that was before room six. I just stood there, staring at whatever it was that spoke to me. There was no exit. I was trapped here with it. And then it spoke again.
