“Stranger Things” Season 2 Adds a Comedian to its Cast

Comedian Brett Gelman has signed on to star in the second season of Netflix’s hit show “Stranger Things“, according to THR. He will be played Murray Bauman, “…a disgraced journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist who is investigating a cold case in the small Indiana town [of Hawkins].

Confirmed to appear in the second season are Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen, Dacre Montgomery, Rob Morgan, and Sadie Sink. They will be joining Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton.

Arriving sometime in 2017, Season 2 picks up in the fall of 1984, about a year after the events in the first season, and will delve into “bigger mythology” behind young Will Byers’ disappearance, Matt Duffer previously teased.
