“The Exorcist” Casts Li Jun Li to Check in On John Cho
Quantico star Li Jun Li joins recently cast Deadpool co-star Brianna Hildebrand, and John Cho in the upcoming second season of Fox’s horror drama “The Exorcist”, Deadline reports.
Opening an entirely new chapter in the iconic franchise, we’ve learned that the second season of “The Exorcist” finds Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and a newly collarless Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) out of Chicago and on the road, searching out evil.
Li will play Rose, a social worker assigned to the group home run by Andrew Kim (Cho) in Season Two, premiering Friday, Sept. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. She is a by-the-books rule follower who arrives to investigate whether Andy is still capable of caring for the children without a maternal figure in the home. Though she’s a strict follower of the rules and boundaries that come with her profession, it becomes clear that she and Andy have a history, and Rose is the first who is able to see through Andy’s brave front. Having grown up in foster care herself, she understands the difficulty of creating a stable home for these children and can relate to them easily.

Hildebrand will play Verity, one of Kim’s (Cho) foster children. Being close to 18 years old, her time in the house is coming to an end. Her tough exterior makes it seem as if she doesn’t care when in reality, she would die for her siblings and Andrew.
Official story details:
“Across the Atlantic, Father Bennett (Kurt Egyiawan) attempts to weed out those within the Vatican who have turned against God. Ultimately, Tomas and Marcus are led to Andrew Kim (Cho), a former child psychologist who runs a group home for five at-risk foster children on a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children under Andrew’s care is targeted by a powerful force, the two priests head west, setting themselves on a collision course with Hell.”
As previously noted, Season One stars Geena Davis, Hannah Kasulka, Brianne Howey and Alan Ruck will NOT be coming back.
“The Exorcist” is from Morgan Creek Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Jeremy Slater. Slater, Sean Crouch, Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall serve as executive producers.

All Eight Episodes of “Crystal Lake” Will Premiere on October 15th
The official teaser trailer for “Crystal Lake” was just released this afternoon (watch it below), with Peacock bringing the Friday the 13th prequel series to life on October 15.
But will the series from A24 be a weekly release, you might be wondering?
Bloody Disgusting has learned tonight that ALL EIGHT EPISODES of “Crystal Lake” will release at the same time on October 15. Each episode has a runtime of 60 minutes.
The series follows single mother Pam Voorhees who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?
Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees, a mother who gave up a singing career to raise her special needs child, only to take a dark turn when she loses her son — Jason.
Callum Vinson (“Chucky”) is playing young Jason in “Crystal Lake,” which will tell the origin story of the masked slasher who has stalked the grounds of Crystal Lake for decades.
Brad Caleb Kane (“IT: Welcome to Derry”) is the showrunner for the series.
The eight-episode series “Crystal Lake” is directed by Michael Lennox (“Derry Girls”), Celine Held & Logan George (Caddo Lake), and Quyen Tran (“The Pitt”).
