‘Gravity’ Director Alfonso Cuarón and Casey Affleck Joining a Cult

A drama series package featuring two Oscar winners, filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón and A Ghost Story actor Casey Affleck, has hit the premium TV space. Deadline is reporting that the Anonymous Content project is being pitched to pay cable and streaming outlets, garnering interest from multiple networks.

Details about the projects are being kept under wraps but they hear it is a horror genre series that tracks the origins of a cult.

Cuarón is writing, directing and executive producing; Affleck is starring and executive producing. Anonymous Content, which signed Cuarón earlier this year, is producing.

This would be the first TV series role for Affleck, who won an Oscar earlier this year for Manchester By the Sea.

Cuarón, the Mexican-born filmmaker who won the Best Director Oscar for directing Gravity, has a diverse feature resume that also includes Children of Men, Y Tu Mama Tambien and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

I dont like any of Alfonso Cuarón’s movies.

    They seem technically well made.
They dont bother me aesthetically like a loud, ham-handed, over-priced and shellacked to hide its stupidity jj abrams movie.

But I just dont like them as movies.
I suppose what he does well is really put his personal vision onto the screen,
but I dont like his personality.

I doubt he’s bothered by your opinion of his movies. Watch something else.

Wow I don’t get that at all from his movies. The Little Princess, Harry Potter 3, and Children of Men are some of my favorite movies. I don’t see them as loud or ham-handed at all. And as far as price…maybe wait for video?

So what? He’s not allowed to act anymore? Get lost.
