‘The Haunted Mansion’ Character Appearing in “Once Upon a Time” Tomorrow Night
ABC’s “Once Upon a Time,“ which has been bringing Disney and other fairytale characters to the small screen since 2011, isn’t a show we normally cover here on BD, but we just learned something pretty cool about tomorrow night’s mid-season premiere, the eleventh episode of the seventh season, that we wanted to share.
The episode, directed by master of horror Mick Garris, will bring Madame Leota from Disney’s The Haunted Mansion into the world of “Once Upon a Time”!
In the episode, titled “Secret Garden”…
“Eager to harness her burgeoning magical skills, Robin engages in a risky relationship with Mother Gothel. Meanwhile in Hyperion Heights, Roni and Kelly strike a deal with Eloise, desperate to save Lucy from her mysterious illness. But nothing comes without a price. As things finally come to a head between Victoria and Ivy, someone may have to pay with their life.”
Suzy Joachim is playing the role of Madame Leota, and the series’ iteration of the theme park character is “described as a powerful gatekeeper to a haunted house.” EW recently noted, “Not only will we meet the famed character from Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, but we may also hear some iconic lines parkgoers will recognize.”

From Skybound Comics and creators Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K Pérez, the horror comic book Stillwater is getting a small screen adaptation at Prime Video, Deadline reports.
Greg Berlanti (You, The Flight Attendant) and Carly Wray (Watchmen, Westworld) are leading the charge on the upcoming horror-drama series from Amazon MGM Studios.
Stillwater has received an eight-episode series order for Prime Video. The series comes from Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions and Skybound Entertainment.
Deadline details, “Co-written by Berlanti and Wray, Stillwater is a mind-bending horror thriller that focuses on ex-con Daniel West. When Daniel receives a mysterious letter promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance in the small town of Stillwater, he discovers a community where nothing ever ages, no one ever dies, and nobody ever gets out.”
