Sneak Peak at Ridley Scott’s “The Terror” Hears Something…
Something’s out there in the dark, freezing night in this clip from the first episode of Ridley Scott‘s “The Terror”, premiering on AMC March 26, 2018.
Starring Jared Harris (“The Crown”) and Tobias Menzies (“Outlander”), “The Terror” is set in 1847, when a Royal Naval expedition crew searching for the Northwest Passage is attacked by a mysterious predator that stalks the ships and their crew in a suspenseful and desperate game of survival. It’s based on a true story, which means that, yes, a crew once went on a search for the Northwest Passage.
The rest of the cast includes Ciarán Hinds (Justice League) as Sir John Franklin; Paul Ready (Cuffs) as Dr. Henry Goodsir; Adam Nagaitis (Suffragette) as Cornelius Hickey; Nive Nielsen (The New World) as Lady Silence; Ian Hart (Neverland) as Thomas Blanky; and Trystan Gravelle (Mr. Selfridge) as Henry Collins.
The official teaser trailer for “Crystal Lake” was just released this afternoon (watch it below), with Peacock bringing the Friday the 13th prequel series to life on October 15.

Bloody Disgusting has learned tonight that ALL EIGHT EPISODES of “Crystal Lake” will release at the same time on October 15. Each episode has a runtime of 60 minutes.
The series follows single mother Pam Voorhees who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?
Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees, a mother who gave up a singing career to raise her special needs child, only to take a dark turn when she loses her son — Jason.
Callum Vinson (“Chucky”) is playing young Jason in “Crystal Lake,” which will tell the origin story of the masked slasher who has stalked the grounds of Crystal Lake for decades.
Brad Caleb Kane (“IT: Welcome to Derry”) is the showrunner for the series.
The eight-episode series “Crystal Lake” is directed by Michael Lennox (“Derry Girls”), Celine Held & Logan George (Caddo Lake), and Quyen Tran (“The Pitt”).
