New seasons of “The Walking Dead” always bring new faces along with them, and EW lets us know today that Tony nominee Lauren Ridloff is on board for this year’s Season 9.

Ridloff, a deaf actress, will be playing comic book character Connie on the show, described as “a seasoned survivor deft at using her senses to read people, situations, and trouble. Her character is deaf and uses American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate.”

In the comic books, Connie is not a deaf character.

EW explains, “In the comic, Connie is part of a new group of survivors led by a character named Magna that is brought back to live in Alexandria.”

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has three awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
