FX Just Ordered Alex Garland’s Sci-fi Project “Devs” to Series

Earlier this year, FX ordered a pilot episode of Ex Machina and Annihilation director Alex Garland‘s next sci-fi project “Devs, and Deadline updates today that the network has now ordered it to series.

Additionally, Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina, Maniac, Crazy Rich Asians), Nick Offerman (Fargo, Parks and Recreation), Jin Ha (Jesus Christ Superstar Live), Zach Grenier (The Good Wife, Deadwood), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Ladybird, Fences), Cailee Spaeny (Bad Times at the El Royale, On the Basis of Sex) and Alison Pill (American Horror Story: Cult, Snowpiercer) have come on board as the series’ stars.

“In Devs, a young computer engineer, Lily, investigates the secretive development division of her employer, a cutting-edge tech company based in San Francisco, which she believes is behind the disappearance of her boyfriend.”

Offerman will play Forest, the CEO of Amaya, whose obsession is the covert work of the company’s development division.

Ha is Jamie, a gifted cyber security specialist, who is Lily’s former boyfriend.

Grenier will play Kenton. Terse, dry and dangerous , Kenton is the head of security at Amaya.

Henderson is Stewart, a cultured intellectual from another era and one of the top technical minds working in Amaya’s secret development division.

Spaeny will portray Lyndon, a young, brilliant, and stubborn employee who works in Amaya’s secret development division.

Pill will play Katie, a gifted quantum physicist tapped by Forest to be his second in command at Amaya.

The eight-episode limited series will premiere on FX in 2019.

Emily Mortimer, Manny Jacinto, and Thomasin McKenzie Join ‘Fallout’ Season Three

Today, Prime Video announced that Emily Mortimer (Relic), Manny Jacinto (The Acolyte), and Thomasin McKenzie (Victorian Psycho, Eileen) have joined the cast of Season Three of Fallout

The hit series begins production on its third season this month in Los Angeles.

The series based on the video games tellsthe story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

The series stars Ella Purnell (YellowjacketsSweetpea), Aaron Moten (EmancipationFather Stu), Walton Goggins (The White LotusThe Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Frances Turner (The Boys), Annabel O’Hagan (Rent Free), and Dave Register (FBI).  

Aaron Paul (Anything But Ghosts) has also joined the cast for Season Three, as previously announced.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and showrunners.
