Home is where the horror is…

Bloody Disgusting just learned that Netflix is delivering tricks and treats this Halloween season when they open the doors to “The Haunting of Hill House” on Friday, October 12th!

Not only that, but we’ve scored the first ever look at the much-anticipated, 10-episode new series that’s directed by horror’s new BFF, Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Before I Wake, Gerald’s Game).

Netflix says that “The Haunting of Hill House” is a complex family drama wrapped in a chilling horror story.

“A modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson‘s iconic novel, “The Haunting of Hill House” explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country.  Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.”

Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel and Victoria Pedretti star.

Trevor Macy serves as executive producer alongside Flanagan. Meredith Averill acts as co-showrunner and executive producer. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank executive produce, as well. Lulu Wilson, McKenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw and Julian Hilliard also star.

“The Haunting of Hill House” is produced for Netflix by Amblin TV and Paramount Television.

Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco return as the next generation of Pretty Little Liars.

The series also stars Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas.

The series is created, written, and executive produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”).
