It’s no secret that the upcoming ninth season will be star Andrew Lincoln‘s last, as Rick Grimes will be exiting “The Walking Dead” at some point during the season. But Lincoln is already planning a return to the series that made him a household name, as he plans on directing in Season 10!
“I’m going back [to the set],” Lincoln just revealed in a chat with EW. “I’m going back to shadow a director, and my intention is to direct next year.”
He added, “I can’t be that far away because I can’t bear it. That’s how much I am invested in the show and the continuation of the story.”
As for how Grimes will be written off the show, that’ll remain a surprise until it happens.
