We’ve known for a while now that Andrew Lincoln would be leaving “The Walking Dead” at some point during the current ninth season, but we weren’t sure on exactly when until this week. AMC confirmed over the weekend that Lincoln has only two more episodes left, which means Rick Grimes’ final episode will air on Sunday night, November 4.
The episode, directed by Greg Nicotero, is titled “What Comes After.”
It’ll be the fifth episode of Season 9.
At this time we still have no idea precisely how Grimes will be written out of the show, but one thing for certain is that his final episode will be the series’ most must-watch in years.
