“Channel Zero” Creator Nick Antosca Talks Likely Return of Familiar Characters in a Future Season

Published

on

Just last month, “Channel Zero” creator Nick Antosca had teased that he’d love to see memorable “Candle Cove” character The Tooth Child return in a future season of the anthology series, which has otherwise told a brand new story with each season. Now, in a chat with io9 this week, Antosca again teases a potential future crossover of sorts.

Does each season take place in a shared universe?!

I know what two more seasons would be. I have no idea and won’t know for at least a month or two whether we’re getting more seasons. If we get to do the two more that I want to do, then continuity among seasons might become a little bit clearer,” Antosca told the site. “You might see the return of certain iconic characters that people love from earlier seasons.”

He elaborated, “Not exactly a crossover. I think it would be a familiar character integrated in a new and unprecedented way.”

When asked if the stories do take place in a shared universe, Antosca offered up a “No comment.” Sounds like things will soon get very interesting in the world of “Channel Zero”.

In the meantime, new season “The Dream Door” premieres TONIGHT on Syfy!

Mayfair Witches Season 3 teaser

AMC gave “The Vampire Lestat” viewers a first look at season 3 of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” last night, and the teaser has made its way online this morning.

The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2027 on AMC and AMC+.

Adapted from Anne Rice‘s Lives of the Mayfair Witches novel trilogy, the third season  will dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new “spellbound” families, and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, MA, the infamous town of witch trials and folklore.

The cast includes Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels, as well as Betsy Brandt, Michiel Huisman, James Frain, Eliza Scanlen and Omar Maskati.

Season 3 is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe for AMC Networks, co-showrunners Esta Spalding and Thomas Schnauz, Michelle Ashford and Tom Williams.

“Mayfair Witches” premiered in 2023 as the second series in AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe following “Interview with the Vampire.”  The Anne Rice Immortal Universe also includes the now-canceled “Talamasca: The Secret Order”.

“Power will be tested,” the witchy first teaser warns.
