[Video] The “Riverdale” Characters Made Their Own ‘Dream Warriors’ Music Video Last Night!

Whether or not you like “Riverdale” is irrelevant. This is something special.

We recently talked about all the fun horror homages in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” but The CW’s kinda-sorta-but-not-really companion series “Riverdale” has no shortage of horror love in its own right. Just last night, for example, the cast of characters made their own “Dream Warriors” music video, bringing the classic Dokken hit to life for a whole new generation!

(“Dream Warriors,” of course, was the official theme song for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, written and performed by Dokken. But surely it needs no introduction.)

Truth be told, I’ve never seen a single episode of “Riverdale” for myself, but last night’s ‘The Midnight Club’ was a flashback episode set in the 1990s. From what I gather, the show’s teen characters played the teenage versions of their own parents for the episode, with their band “The Fred Heads” performing the cover version of the 1987 heavy metal horror hit.

Thanks to Nick Meece for the heads up!
