The third season of “Van Helsing” is coming to an end next week, and Syfy lets us know (via Deadline) today that the season finale won’t be a *series* finale. Yes, “Van Helsing” has been renewed for a fourth season this week, with Jonathan Walker taking over as showrunner.
“Having been in the writing room on Van Helsing since Season 1 I’m excited to take the reins as showrunner from Neil LaBute,” Walker said in a statement. “Season 4 will delve deeper into the iconic lore of the vampires and their ultimate goals for this world. New villains will rise along with unexpected heroes joining the fight.”
He added, “We have a fantastic build planned for this season and I’m thrilled to share it with our dedicated fans.”
The series centers on Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton), a descendant of the legendary line of vampire hunters.
