Before he became Negan on “The Walking Dead,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the role of John Winchester on “Supernatural,“ the father to main characters Sam and Dean. The actor’s run on the show began with the pilot back in 2005 and continued through the Season 2 finale in 2007; John was killed off, and JDM hasn’t appeared on the show since ’07.
As we learned at the tail end of last year, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be playing John Winchester one more time on the 300th episode of “Supernatural,” titled Lebanon and airing on Thursday, February 7 at 8 PM. While we wait, EW just scored some images and information.
Jensen Ackles explains John Winchester’s post-death return, “Dean is faced with essentially a genie in a bottle, and this is what he would truly wish for if his heart could speak.”
