The SXSW announced shows that will be included in the “Episodic Premieres” section. Presenting world premieres of prestige serials slated for release and accompanied by show-runners, directors and cast members featuring extended Q&As.

Two genre offerings are included, starting with “NOS4A2” (pronounced “Nosferatu”), from showrunner and screenwriter Jami O’Brien, based on the story by Joe Hill.

“NOS4A2” introduces Vic McQueen, a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. This ability puts her on a collision course with the evil and immortal Charlie Manx. Manx is a supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.

The cast includes Zachary Quinto, Ashleigh Cummings, Jahkara J. Smith, Olafur Olafsson, Virginia Kull, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Even more exciting is the World Premiere of FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows” spinoff, from Jemaine Clement.

Based on the feature film of the same name from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, FX’s new comedy follows vampire roommates who have lived together for hundreds and hundreds of years.

The full cast includes Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch.
