Syfy announced during the third season last year that they were pulling the plug on the TV series “The Expanse,“ but it didn’t take long for Amazon to swoop in and start working on a deal that’d allow them to give the series a second chance. Those talks began last May, and we’re happy to report that a fourth season is indeed coming to Amazon very soon.
First off, last year’s third season of “The Expanse” will debut on Amazon Prime next month, on February 8th, and you can expect the brand new fourth season later this year!
For now, you can watch the first two seasons through Amazon Prime.
In “The Expanse,” A police detective in the asteroid belt, the first officer of an interplanetary ice freighter and an earth-bound United Nations executive slowly discover a vast conspiracy that threatens the Earth’s rebellious colony on the asteroid belt.
Co-created and written by Oscar-nominated screenwriting duo Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men), the series is based on the bestselling book series by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (under the pen name James S. A. Corey).
The cast includes Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, Frankie Adams and Thomas Jane.
