Production Getting Ready to Begin on Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix Horror Series “10 After Midnight”

Fresh off his Oscar win for The Shape of Water, Guillermo del Toro has attached himself to so many projects in the past year that it’s honestly become hard to even keep track. And that’s a good problem for all of us to have, we assure you. One of those projects is a horror anthology series for Netflix, which we totally forgot about until Deadline reminded us today.

The series is titled “Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, and the site reports that Netflix will be filming it in Toronto, as they’ve just chosen the production space.

For both “10 After Midnight” and feature film Let It Snow, Netflix “will lease four sound stages along with office space and support space totaling approximately 164,000 square feet at Cinespace Studios and will also lease four sound stages and adjacent office space comprising a total footprint of approximately 84,580 square feet at Pinewood Toronto Studios.”

Not a major update, mind you, but a fresh reminder that this super cool project is coming soon. “Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight” is set to be a collection of the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s personally curated stories, described as both equally sophisticated and horrific. Del Toro will reportedly write and direct certain episodes of the series.

For the other episodes, del Toro will hand-pick top horror writers and new filmmakers.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

“Chucky” – Official Trailer for This Week’s New Episode Brings Brad Dourif into the White House!

Brad Dourif

Just two episodes remain in Season 3 of “Chucky,” with the second-to-last episode airing this Wednesday night on USA & SYFY. It’s titled “There Will Be Blood,” and oh yes there will be.

Last week’s episode was absolutely INSANE, with Chucky taking control of the situation room in the White House and attempting to start World War 3. His plan was thwarted, but not before nuking the North Pole. In the wake of launching that missile, Chucky met the true death, his doll body disintegrating into ash like he got Thanos snapped out of existence.

The episode ended with an appearance from Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray in his human form, with his spirit now free from the doll and roaming around the haunted White House.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for this week’s episode: “Parapsychologists investigate the disturbances in the White House, while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) plans her escape.”

“There Will Be Blood” airs Wednesday, April 24 on USA and SYFY. Reversing a new plan they tested out last week, we’re told the episode will be available on Peacock this Thursday.
