Brian Cox Playing “Death” in Amazon and Neil Gaiman’s “Good Omens”; Trailer Tomorrow!

Published

A joint venture between Amazon and BBC Two, the small screen Neil Gaiman adaptation “Good Omens” is premiering later this year exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories (and on BBC Two in the UK), and Gaiman himself revealed on Twitter this morning that Brian Cox will be playing the role of “Death” in the series.

Additionally, he notes that the trailer is coming tomorrow, March 6th!

Described as equal parts humor and horror, fantasy and drama, “Good Omens” takes place in the modern day when the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, and tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan — except that Aziraphale, a somewhat fussy angel, and Crowley, a fast-living demon, are not looking forward to the coming war, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

The cast also includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Frances McDormandDavid Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin and Mireille Enos.

“Good Omens” will launch on Amazon Prime Video on May 31.

“Chucky” – Official Trailer for This Week’s New Episode Brings Brad Dourif into the White House!

Brad Dourif

Just two episodes remain in Season 3 of “Chucky,” with the second-to-last episode airing this Wednesday night on USA & SYFY. It’s titled “There Will Be Blood,” and oh yes there will be.

Last week’s episode was absolutely INSANE, with Chucky taking control of the situation room in the White House and attempting to start World War 3. His plan was thwarted, but not before nuking the North Pole. In the wake of launching that missile, Chucky met the true death, his doll body disintegrating into ash like he got Thanos snapped out of existence.

The episode ended with an appearance from Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray in his human form, with his spirit now free from the doll and roaming around the haunted White House.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for this week’s episode: “Parapsychologists investigate the disturbances in the White House, while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) plans her escape.”

“There Will Be Blood” airs Wednesday, April 24 on USA and SYFY. Reversing a new plan they tested out last week, we’re told the episode will be available on Peacock this Thursday.

Watch the trailer below to preview this week’s bloody new episode!
