This week has been a damn good one for fans of FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows,” as we just learned that the network has renewed the horror-comedy vampire series for a second season. The new season will likely be arriving in 2020, but let’s not forget that we’ve still got a handful of episodes left in the first season. In fact, there’s a brand new one tonight!
In tonight’s seventh episode of Season 1, titled “The Trial”:
The vampires must defend themselves as an international vampire tribunal gathers to judge them for their transgressions.
Noted by Jemaine Clement over on Twitter today, the episode was written by Clement and directed by Taika Waititi! Clement teases, “There are some surprising surprise guest stars, so be careful not to flip the flip out.” Could Clement be referring to he and Waititi’s characters from the 2014 movie? You’ll just have to tune in tonight to find out!
“The Trial” airs tonight at 10pm EST on FX.
