The fifth season of AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead” will be premiering on June 2nd, and one of the exciting things about the new season is that Austin Amelio‘s Dwight is crossing over from “The Walking Dead” into the spinoff series – like Morgan Jones before him.
EW previews Dwight’s arrival this week, along with a new shot (below).
“[Season 4] is going to take [the group] to an entirely new and strange and dangerous environment that they’ve never been to before,” co-showrunner Ian Goldberg told the site.
He added, “This season is going to be about our characters grappling with the things they’ve done in their past and looking for redemption through the things they’re doing now, and for anyone who knows Dwight’s story on The Walking Dead, he is someone who did a lot of bad things over his time as a Savior.”
The Season 5 cast includes Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Karen David, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace and Jenna Elfman.
Also recently announced, Ruben Blades is coming back for Season 5.
