Netflix viewership numbers tend to always come direct from Netflix, leading many to question their validity, but in any event it’s worth noting that the streaming service announced over on Twitter last night that the third season of “Stranger Things” – widely considered to be the show’s *best* to date – is currently breaking even their most impressive records!
Netflix tweeted last night….
“40.7 million household accounts have been watching the show since its July 4 global launch — more than any other film or series in its first four days.”
What they mean there is that 40.7 million accounts have watched some portion of the season, while also adding that “18.2 million have already finished the entire season.”
In other words, the show is bigger (and better) than ever, and we’re definitely getting a fourth season. Here’s hoping we’re reporting more on that real soon!
